Lake Powell Houseboat. The youth group and chaperones arrive at the Lake Powell marina late afternoon and board a luxury houseboat. After dinner there is a presentation on Lake Powell and the areas of the lake we will be exploring the next day. Each youth is given a point and shoot digital camera and is taught how to use it.

After breakfast the next morning we get in a speed boat and head out exploring the lake. We will anchor the boat at various points for short hikes. A naturalist will also accompany the group and talk about plants, animals, geology, archeology and human history associated with the lake. Lunch and snacks will be provide on the boat.

After exploring the lake the group will return to the houseboat, clean up and have dinner. After dinner there will be a discussion about exploring the lake and a sharing of favorite photos taken that day. After breakfast the next morning the group will attend a life-skills workshop and instruction on how to continue to live their lives astonished and how to be Live Astonished Ambassadors.
